Why do we have pre-orders?

Often I get asked by customers why we have pre-orders on the new collection, so let me share the answer with you.
Purpose of pre-orders
Typically I do pre-orders on our collections to avoid overproduction, reduce waste fabric, and lower our environmental impact. It helps us to create our garments in a more sustainable, mindful way.
But this time the reason for pre-orders is different.
Covid-19
I run a very small business that manufactures clothes in a small 5 women sewing workshop in Armenia. The outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic came right in the time when we were about to finish the production of our new collection....
To avoid health risks for the elderly women sewing our clothes, together with the workshop owners we decided to pause the production until the situation gets better and women feel safe to resume the work.
I sincerely hope that the situation gets better in the following weeks and we can have our collection available for shipping to you.
